Pride Week: What YOU Can Do On Campus This Week!

Thanks to the USU, Pride Week is about to begin at the University of Sydney. Meaning, there’ll be heaps of events and workshops popping up all over campus.

From free breakfast to trivia, shopping markets to talks: here’s a run-down of all the things you can do to this week to get your pride on!
Tuesday
USUEATS FOOD TRUCK X PRIDE
From 8am - 2pm, Tuesday to Thursday, the USU are providing cheap breakfast and lunch on Eastern Avenue. Yay! On Tuesday, it all starts with rainbow pancakes for breakfast and souvlaki for lunch. P.S. If you’re an access member, you get free Rica Pastries today! Whoop Whoop!
CHALKING EASTERN AVENUE
Hour of colourful power! At 12pm on Eastern Ave, help spread the rainbow-love by chalking all over campus’ busiest strip! Chalk provided and all other materials provided. Thank God.
SHADES TRIVIA
SHADES are back and better than ever, hosting trivia on all things queer! If you're a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and want to meet some fellow likeminded folk, come along! Check out the Facebook event here - starts at 6pm! Don’t be late or you’ll fall behind. And you don’t want to do that, do you?
Wednesday

Start the day off right with cheap begals for breakfast and burgers for lunch. Access member? Today you get free rainbow cookies! Get these cookies baby!!
USU MARKETS PRIDE EDITION
Walk all over the rainbow floor whilst shopping at the Pride themed Monthly Market! Running from 9am until 4pm, pop into all the stalls featuring queer student societies, collectives as well as sexual/mental health organisations.
PRIDE PICNIC: PRESENTED BY SASS
Nothing like an aesthetic picnic to get your queer on this week. No plans for lunch today? SASS have you covered. From 12:30 until 2:30, make sure you get your glitter on at their fabulous stall on the Law lawns. Further details here. Also, it’s free for Access members, so that’s neat!
Thursday

Embrace the rainbow today! For breakfast, there’s rainbow cupcakes and fairy bread, and for lunch there’s Pizza! Courtyard’s got some competition.
TALK: HOW TO LIFE WITH JOANNA FERRARI
From 12pm, in the Cullen Room (Holme Building), check out this special talk from Joanna Ferrari, whom will talk about the challenges that almost took her life. Make sure you get your tickets here, but get in quick! Tickets are free for USU members and $5 for the general public.
GLITTER GALA
SHADES and the USU have done it again, presenting the fifth instalment of the annual Glitter Gala, on Thursday night. With unlimited drinks(ish), a 3-course-meal and a playlist DOMINATED by queer icons, this night isn’t one you want to miss! For tickets and more details check out the Facebook event here.
