3:09 - Pulp requests that the Board comment on The University of Sydney’s (USyd) recently released Sustainability Strategy. Irene defers the question to Board Director, Prudence Wilkins-Wheat who currently holds the University of Sydney Union (USU) environmental portfolio.
Wilkins-Wheat says that she was glad that steps had been taken to improve the Sustainability Strategy which was previously “incredibly insufficient” but that this strategy cannot be an end to the University’s work on sustainability. She referenced the Board’s vote to call on USyd to divest from fossil fuels as a display that environmental sustainability is something the USU is passionate about.
