Breaking: SRC Nominations Announced
The Presidential ballot is being contested by Matthew Carter (Unity) and Lauren Lancaster (Switchroots). 29 other students registered nominations for President but were deemed ineligible as they failed to provide ten supporting nominations.
The election to edit Honi Soit is being contested by three tickets and two lone candidates. The three tickets are CAKE for Honi, DRIP for Honi and Legacy for Honi. Honi Soit reported the members of both CAKE for Honi and DRIP for Honi. The makeup of Legacy for Honi remains unknown.
CAKE for Honi consists of Carmeli Argana, Christian Holman, Amelia Koen, Roisin Murphy, Sam Randle, Fabian Robertson, Thomas Sargeant, Ellie Stephenson, Khanh Tran and Zara Zadro, with Telita Goile managing. DRIP for Honi consists of Danny Cabubas, Joe Fidler, Harry Gay, Ariana Haghighi, Anie Kandya, Patrick McKenzie, Kristin Miao, Amelia Raines and Rhea Thomas, with Matthew Forbes and Felicity Macourt managing.
371 nominations were registered for the Council ballot. 61 nominations were registered for the National Union of Students across nine tickets, with a “smattering” of lone candidates.
Nominations for the 2021 SRC Elections closed at 5pm today.
Pulp editor Fabian Robertson and Pulp multilingual editor Kristin Miao are both running in the Honi Soit election.
