CRIKEY! Nepotism in the crocodile hunting industry

The crocodile hunting business has a serious problem.

Ever since I was a child, I dreamt of becoming a Crocodile Hunter. I would sit awake at night and imagine myself tossing and turning with one of these prehistoric beasts.

The crocodile hunting business has a serious problem, and I’m not just talking about their rows of sharp teeth.

No, I’m talking about a different row of sharp teeth, one fuelling some of the biggest names in the biz: nepotism.

Much like everything under capitalism, things are often kept in the family when it comes to the fame and riches that people so often spend their whole lives striving to accrue.

I myself have been trying and failing for years to break out into the business, but have been met with blockaides at every corner. It seems Australia already has their blond-haired blue-eyed Crocodile Hunter of choice. That being, Robert Irwin.

Son of Steve Irwin, Robert has done very little to make a name for himself in the crocodile hunting game besides riding off the coattails of his dearly departed father.

I feel it’s a disgrace to still be placing this boy on the same pedestal as his dad. I’ve seen Rob’s technique, and let me just say, it ain’t that good.

If we stamp out these fakes and allow the truly talented to rise to their much-earned stardom, then the crocodile hunting industry will be better off for it.
